6 months after the initial lend date and 65hours of playtime and I have finally completed Persona. Got to say I am feeling the Squenix love at the moment. I am now eager to get playing Persona 3! Considering I usually get a bit bored of the standard dungeon crawler I have to day this was awesome. Repetitive dungeon crawling was broken up with part time jobs, social links, education etc. And after some false endings I think I finally managed to get the ending I deserved after all that grinding :D
Awesome soundtrack and very replayable I recommend to anyone who loves a good story based RPG. This is one of those games with a lot of fan fiction going around about the suitable love interests for each character. In my opinion I have gone for a Rise-Teddie approach, classic Yosuke-Chie, Yukiko gets no-one(I don't like her), Mr Jeremey and hopefully a character from P3 and Kanji-Naoto. Favourite characters have to be Naoto and Kanji as the nice quirky comic relief, but also got a soft spot for Teddie. Dojima is a boss and the magical healing fox in an apron is super cute! The story concept for this game is so out there (yet awesome) I am seriously wondering how the hell someone came up with it.

Pokemon X!
This new pokemon game is the best yet, no doubt about it! I'm even impressed with all the new pokemon models(although I still kind find it in my heart to allow klefki into my party) and it's been a nice refresh to see all the classics in 3D as well.
So I set out from my moms house again for another adventure, when someone decides 'hey, you look like a a Pokemon trainer, I'm giving one away so you can choose which one you want.' And after careful consideration and a sneaky peaky at the final evolution(not having another Oshawott incident here) I decide on Froakie! I also make the decision that although old generation Pokemon are available from the start I'm only having noobs in my team, this shortly goes out the window when I get a free bulbasaur and lapras.....still no tangela :(. I haven't learnt any new pokemons names as I constantly rename them (feel the power of bruce!)...Bruce rules.
I love the new EV training system and amie screen, as well as berry growing and easier grinding. This makes my dream of having ALL pokemon at lv100 a little more realistic, yet still improbable.
My so called friends in this game are huge douches that literally come up to me at the start and not knowing me at all, say that we are besties now...:/ I really would like Bruce to flamethrower them in the face. Damn you Sharn....whatever your name is!
Like mentioned before EV training is fast and easy in this game and I can even get all my old Pokemon up to scratch with reset bags. My tangrowth will win a fight one day!
I'm still waiting on my dratini and tangela to appear but as I'm already at the elite four my hopes are simply dashed. I have caught my legendary X pokemon, the easiest catch of a legendary in history, and am now just exploring all the optional parts as I kind of sped through the story. I've got my perfect outfit, although apparently not classy enough for the snobs in lumoise city and I am going to wonder trade and friend safari it up to see what goodies I can get :D

It's Reyn time!
So finally finished Xenoblade Chronicles and I must say this is the largest, biggest most epic RPG I've played. The story is in depth and the character development is brilliant. In my opinion it isn't one of the most interesting stories I've played in my RPG experiences, although, there are enough twists to keep you want to progressing. The British voice acting is very much a matter of opinion, a friend said it was one of the worst he had come across whereas Hubby loved the cockney accents. Personally I got use to the voices and kind of liked the fact that they were accents from jolly old Britain!
The story is based on two giant robot kind of guys, frozen in battle...apparently gods, and your just a little man that lives on his foot, not like clinging on, the Mechonis and Bionis are huge and have working ecosystems. The Mechon guys attack the Humans and cue giant adventure of revenge and intrigue.
The leading man in this story is Shulk, a quiet science guy more at home in his lab then swinging a sword.Not my cup of tea for a leading man but character development insured he didn't fail to have some bad ass moments. Reyn is a clumsy guy who is good at being the tank, he has more muscles then brains but in a loveable way. He is probably one of my faves out the lot. Sharla grated on me quite a bit and until the very end seemed to be oblivious to Reyn's love for her. Between Gadoit and Juju she didn't seem to have much of her own personality. More annoying then Sharla was Fiora but only in human form, she is such a dick at the very start and then end of the game. I'm surprised they went through turning her into one of the most rocking awesome fighters into that whingy girl again. She had first dibs on Shulk and lost them to Melia! Then she swans back in to steal him away, poor Melia. Melia is the typical magic girl of the group. I liked her and Shulk together, bit gutting when it was taken away. She had one of the best character development story-lines and I felt the most emotion for the character. Dunban is badass, the end. Rikki started annoying but somehow I turned out liking his humour quite a lot.
The game took me 85 hours to complete and I finished at level 82, so if you are looking for a quick RPG to blast through at the weekend then this is not the game for you....I think I started this game in May or June.
My fave thing in a game is sidequests and so was pleasantly surprised when I had too many! Seriously they were everywhere. Think I must have done over 200 of them but they were all good fun. The visuals in this game are epic and although the close up character models are a bit old school the endless scenery is beautiful.
This is one of the biggest games I have played that is not a MMO and so it is a good game to get your teeth into if you are waiting for the next monolith game.

Tales of Xillia, play through one
So Xillia play through one is complete, with no major difficulties as I am pretty sure I was grinding a little bit too much. One of my favorite games in the Tales franchise is Vesperia and so going into this one I felt skeptical as none had lived up to its awesomeness as of yet. In my opinion this one competes on every level and I don't think I've ever played a game where I want everyone in my party this badly.
I write first play through in the title because at the start of the game you are given a choice of the main protagonist and I chose Jude (male) who is a medical student turned some kind of martial artist....yep. Hes a pretty awesome male protagonist but I feel some of his attention was stolen by other stronger characters in the group. I think hes a bit of a fool for being so oblivious to the feelings a Leia and swooning over grown up woman Milla instead. Milla is meant for Alvin! He's going to have to get over this fact in the upcoming sequel next year. I finally managed to utilize a food system in a Tales game, and thus managed to have all the money in the world. The shop leveling idea was pretty awesome as instead of new places unlocking new items, you had to unlock the items yourself by donating stuff you found on your adventures, you could donate Gald but I'm pretty fond of the stuff and didn't really want to squander it away.
Alvin was looking to be my favorite characters until he turned a bit emotionally unbalanced half way through the game, in a cut scene I am sure I will see when I play through as Milla. Leia Turned out to be my bestest in the end....swinging big pole arms around is awesome...the end. Rowan Illbert was pretty awesome for an old guy, some of the skits painted him out to be a hilarious pervert....but in a nice way....if that's possible. When Teepo appeared I thought my game was ruined but I turned into a huge fan when the connection with Elize was revealed. All the characters had emotional back stories and I loved them all!
The intro song is pretty epic and probably on par with Vesperia and the opening movie had my bestest anime facial expression in a while....I don't know why but I love it....powerful stuff!
