Layton saga! - A village, a box, a future, a spectre and a mask
So in the past few months my completion record has gone wayyyy down but I'm completely blaming that on exams and also the amount of new hobbies I've picked up...if I could fit anymore in! But recently I started about a billion different games so the completions will start to filter in gradually! After exams I felt like my brain could do with some more stimulation so I picked up the first five layton games. To date I've only completed the first three but I thought they deserved a write up separate, as picking up spectres call feels like a different tale to tell. So I had completed curious village when it first came out as well as this run through so there weren't many surprises there for me. I had however forgot how hard some of these puzzles would be. Upon startng Pandoras box I was wary and cautious of even the simplest puzzle at the start, so much that I was tricking myself out of obvious answers that were 'entry level'. I guess thats the negative of running through the games one after the other, you have to realise the new game cartridge means back to basics. I hadn't felt like these games were more then just some puzzles to complete until the end of Lost future when I had to deal with THIS FACE! Oh god the feels! Now I love Layton more then any other gentleman and think all future games are worthy of more of my time!

Persona 3
After more then a year and many obstacles I have finally completed this awesome game. I initially started it as FES on PS3 but then after that funeral bestie lent me her PSP copy and I had to start again. It was a slow burner as the dungeons are quite repetitive and it doesn't have the same feel good characters as P4. Don't get me wrong I loved this game but I was constantly comparing it with persona4 and so its flaws were quite apparent. Had I played this initially before P4 I'm sure I would have been raving. The story was decent yet there were no big turn around moments that I felt shocked at until the very end, and even then I was left slightly dumbstruck like 'oh, so that's it?'
So my dear Master Jeremey did not leave as much of a impression on me as Mr Jeremey and his strange moments during romancing of robot girl Aigis was a little bit uncomfortable...Please touch my heart so I can absorb your oils?....yeah...weird. Although Aigis' little peglegs were highly amusing to me and bestie.
Now I don't usually go in for the annoying kid character but I fould Junpei, with his ooo I'm in love with a crazy woman, much more irritating then Ken, that kid had seen some shit! Thats why him and adorable Koromaru were in my ultimate team. Yukari was a bit generic and Mitsuru was the 'responsible one'. Akihiko was brilliant, keeping up that silver haired Lothario act and Fuuka had started off weak but she turned out to be pretty cool. The cast however seemed weak compared with P4 and I had a hard time sympathising with some of them.
The story was a bit predictable as I knew that Ikutski was a little bit odd from the start, the addition of STREGA and essentially Jesus should have arrived earlier and with a little more back story.
Awesome intro to FES though

Curtain Call (Hopefully not)
My absolute go to game for filling a few minutes of spare time or when I'm unsure what to play was the original Theatrhythm and so having another one with even more songs (including 14 tracks) was amazing to me! As this game is likely an ongoing title for quite a few years I thought I would review it now. My favorite chibi characters were back with the addition of Y'shtola, Zack, Vivi and advent children Tifa as well as many others. All the best tracks were included...infact so many tracks were included I can't think of a single one that isn't....oh....except King Moggle Mogs tune....but I probably just haven't unlocked it :P
Best time filling game ever and I LOVE IT!

It's a bit quiet on the gaming front but I finished a classic, Hey, Listen!
After purchasing our very own den of geek we are finally getting settled and I may have some free time to actually get some games played! As my commute to work is now ridiculous I needed something to fill my train journey and lunch hours with and so I turned to Ocarina of time for the 3DS. I finally finished a Zelda game! The reason this hasn't happened sooner is due to a Sony childhood, Zelda kind of went passed my radar till a few years ago. And now I'm picking it up in full force! Windwaker here I come! Anyway, Ocarina of time was the first game I got for my 3DS console and after rave reviews from Hubby seemed a good place to start. However I am now worried that I may have peeked too early.....and it might only get worse :/ because Ocarina of Time was frickin sweet!
Collecting heart pieces, hours exploring dungeonss for every chest and trying to figure out some of those tricksy ways to get things. Just brilliant. The dungeons were all so varied it never got tired and even though I had some complicated battles (purely through the lack of common sense) I battled my way through and had some VERY strong words to say to Ganon at the end.
Didn't manage to get my hands on that Bigoron sword though and don't think I will be playing through Master quest. Leave that one to the hubby :D
I did get a little sad that I had to make Link wear blue and red at points in this game...not a good look
But seriously, whats with that fairy laugh from those pantyless whores?
